1st Project-Evaluation and Lesson 2

Looking at an Artwork and talking/Writing about it is a very important part of Art.  It helps you as an artist to improve in your artworks from one assignment to another.  It helps you to know what was successful in your artwork and what you need to improve upon as well.

Now that you have finished your first assignment, I would like for you to answer the following questions about your artwork and the artworks from your classmates.

1.When looking at your black shapes that you cut out and glued down, do you feel that they worked together successfully as one Artwork?  Why or Why not?

2.Did you have a theme to your black shapes?  If so what was your theme? (ex: I used all squares, or I was very organized)

3.Explain what kind of shapes you used within your black shapes.

4.When you look at your artwork hung on the wall, what do you feel is the strongest part about your artwork?  Explain.

5.I would like you to give yourself a grade based on the following criteria:  You will give yourself a grade between 1-10 in each section. 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.
_________C-How CREATIVE is your artwork (does it look unique/different from your classmates)
_________R-Did you come to class READY to work everyday for this assignment
